Works: Owns Kerwin Consulting, LLC, and works as a Consultant and Instructor for Michigan Association of School Boards and the University of Michigan-Dearborn Institute for Local Government.
Civic Activity: Active in church, schools and community for 26 years—named Troy’s Distinguished Citizen in 2012.
Parish: Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Women’s Fellowship, Funeral Luncheons and has worked in RCIA and Catechetical programs.
Schools: Has worked on many Troy Board committees, and volunteered as a mentor, chaired and served on many committees at local schools and as PTA President at Hamilton and PTO President at Smith and Parliamentarian for the PTA/PTO Presidents’ Council, served on THS Booster Board, and on the District School Improvement Team.
Community: President of the Women Officials Network Foundation and founding member and Past President of WON, Vice President of Leadership Troy, Chair of Board Development for the Troy Historical Society, served as Chair of the Troy Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit Network, served on the MSU Extension Leadership Council of Oakland County and the MSUE/AgBioResearch State Council, member of the League of Women Voters, Race Relations & Diversity Task Force, Troy Community Coalition, Friends of the Troy Public Library, and Troy Nature Society.
City: Alumna of the Troy Citizens Academy, served on the Troy Futures Task Force Image and Feel and Lifestyle committees, served on the Troy Planning Commission-one year as Vice-Chair, served four years on Troy City Council-one year as Mayor Pro Tem, served on the Retirement Board and as President of the Michigan Municipal League’s Elected Officials Academy.
School Board: Served eight years on the Troy Board of Education, holding all offices, and recognized for outstanding leadership by county, state and national organizations.
